Job Title: Heating and Cooling Office Assistant

Wage: Negotiable with training and experience

General Scope of Position:

Wallowa County Grain Growers has an exciting opportunity in beautiful Enterprise Oregon. We are seeking a full-time Heating and Cooling Department Office Administrator to join our HVAC Department. The office administrator position is responsible for overall front office activities within the Heating and Cooling Department of Wallowa County Grain Growers. This includes answering telephones, directing calls, communicating with technicians and customers, accounts receivable, billing, inventory control, data entry and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the reception area to maintain professional image.
  2. Answer a busy telephone line with efficiency, courtesy, and high level of customer service.
  3. Supervise and coordinate overall administrative activities for the department including filing, accurate billing, accounts receivable, inventory control and tracking.
  4. Facilitate communication between customers and technicians.
  5. Assist with installation and service estimates.
  6. Apply for service permits in timely fashion.
  7. Maintain inventory of parts and equipment.
  8. Effectively communicate with customers, technicians, and department manager.
  9. Manage maintenance contracts. Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Competencies / Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Excellent computer skills particularly Micro-Soft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  3. Ability to learn WCGG internal software systems.
  4. Accurate and accountable money handling skills with the ability to balance petty cash on daily basis.
  5. Time Management and organizational skills.
  6. Decision Making.
  7. Communication Proficiency.
  8. High attention to detail to assure accurate inventory tracking and billing.
  9. Punctuality and reliability.

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Job Title: Agronomy Production Assistant

Period: Full time permanent with benefits

Wage: Negotiable with training and experience

General Scope of Position:

The agronomy production assistant will assist in dry and liquid fertilizer, chemical, seed, and feed blending for Wallowa County Grain Growers’ Agronomy department. This position will also assist with loading and delivery of products. The preferred candidate will have a class A CDL or the ability to obtain. Facility and equipment maintenance requiring basic mechanical skills will be required daily. Occasionally, this position will be responsible for typical office responsibilities such as answering the phone, utilizing a computer and specialized software system, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately interpret fertilizer, feed, and seed batch sheets to create custom blends.
  2. Load company and customer trucks with completed orders and accurate delivery tickets.
  3. Conduct maintenance of Wallowa County Grain Growers’ Agronomy equipment and facility and maintain accurate records.
  4. Occasionally responsible for the supervision of seasonal production employees.
  5. Clean driving record, and class A CDL (or ability to obtain).
  6. This position must effectively communicate with the Agronomy Department Manager.
  7. Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned.

Skills / Competencies / Requirements:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Class A CDL or ability to obtain.
  3. Previous agricultural cooperative or agricultural related experience (preferred).
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  6. Organization Skills
  7. High attention to detail to assure accurate inventory tracking and billing.
  8. Punctuality and reliability

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position often requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies up to 50 pounds assisted.

Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check and Motor Vehicle Records check.
